Pote's Notes

From the Desk of the Potentate

The year is almost at an end. This will be my last letter as the next newsletter will be published next year and the new potentate will be addressing the members. It has been a fun-filled year. It started off with the Ball. I want to thank Ed Shea, his wife, and staff again for the wonderful menu and decorating he did for the first Potentate’s ball at our new Shrine Center. We traveled to different temples to attend their Potentate’s balls and got to meet wonderful people. We had a successful spring ceremony. Cyprus took in 11 new nobles. We had a great time in Denver at the Imperial Session. The Embassy Suites couldn’t do enough for us. We had our second picnic at the Shrine Center. It was well attended and enjoyed by all. Next was the Germanfest in Kingston. The food was excellent, but the weather didn’t cooperate. Then that Sunday, the tropical storm came and damaged a huge area upstate. We are all still trying to get our life back to normal. We took the New England & Canada cruise in September with 16 nobles and ladies. The highlight for Eileen and I was the Bay of Fundy. We got to walk on the ocean floor. There were more events that we attended throughout the year such as County Shrine Clubs and the MASA and NYOSA sessions. We had a great time at all the events.

In closing we want to thank everyone who helped us during the year. We couldn’t have done it without you. God Bless our Nobles, Children, and the Shrine Hospitals with their caring employees, who make it all work. Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night.

Yours In The Faith, Paul Rosenblatt
